Professor Meghan Burke is the 3rd Lien Ying Chow Visiting Professor. She is Professor of Special Education at Vanderbilt University's Peabody College. Her research explores advocacy, disability policy, and the roles of families of individuals with disabilities. She has led the development of the Volunteer Advocacy Project, a widely replicated program empowering families to access and advocate for services.


She serves as associate editor for the Journal of Developmental and Physical Disabilities, Journal of Child and Family Studies, and Physical Disabilities: Education and Related Services, and sits on the editorial boards of journals including Research and Practice for Persons with Severe Disabilities, Journal of Disability Policy Studies, and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
