NTU CourseReserves: NIE Course Readings Guide

Linking to an electronic book, book chapter or journal article from the library’s resources has multiple benefits:

• It gives students immediate access to the item
• It allows you to link to multiple chapters from a book
• As it is a link, copyright clearance is not required
• DO NOT upload a pdf scan if the item is available electronically

If you can’t find an electronic version of the item and need to upload a pdf scan please be aware that:

• It will need to be sent to the library for review
• It will need to be copyright compliant.

NIE has a license with the Copyright Licensing and Administration Society of Singapore (CLASS) which allows for multiple copying of  publications for educational purposes, up to the following limits:

• 1 chapter of a book OR
• 10% of the total number of pages of a book
• 1 article from a journal
